Randomness and Warmth

I had a dream, and in my dream I was sleeping - which made it twice as hard to get up because I actually have to wake up TWICE to be fully conscious.
I also can't understand why I NEVER wake up feeling refreshed, even if I went to sleep at 10:45 last night. When I get out of bed I realize that all the blankets are all twisted around, as if I've been trying to pretzelize myself with them.

I'm trying to be healthier since I'm not exercising as much anymore. Yay for salad for lunch. I know, Janet, I know.

So every morning I talk to Alex, who is off being a marine in Japan, and I have to stop myself from saying "good morning" to him. In fact, when he leaves I say good night. And then when he comes back on in the late afternoon, THEN I get to say good morning.

Last night I just relaxed at home, watching bad movies like "Ella Enchanted" - what a rip-off of "Ever After", and it was like 10x worse too. I also have started reading guide books for California just for kicks, and to see what else I'm missing.

My coffeemaker has a timer on it, so it starts brewing automatically at 6:45 while I shower, and when I get out I can have a nice fresh cup, and extra to take to work with me in my nifty Nissan thermos, which keeps liquids warm for like 4 hours.

I talked to my editor today about possibly going to some meetings outside of the department to see how the rest of the society works and he said that I could just look through the directory, e-mail him names of various workgroups that I'm interested in, and he/I could set some stuff up together. He's sooo nice. I suppose if I'm bored I've only got myself to blame - . *sigh* that's a sucky one to admit. Time to start doing some real work around here :o)

By the way, my playlist that has every song having to do with heat and California is the most awesome ever.

The internet in my apartment is down. I don't understand why this always happens.
